Laura Bell has been in the Beauty Industry for over 20 years and is a fully qualified Beauty Therapist and Nail Technician to NVQ Level 3.

Laura has many years of experience running successful salons, and has trained with many top companies including HD Brows, LVL Lashes, Nouveau, Lash Perfect, St Tropez, Dermalogica, Jessica, CND and Nailtiques. Laura has also trained with some top names in the industry including Gemma Lambert, Chrissie Pearce, Lucy Fell, Sally Orchard (MUA), Frankie Widdows, Vicky Rugg, Tania Withers and more recently has completed an advanced Lash course with Bryony Barclay.

After educating and mentoring her staff for 15 years, teaching Nail Technology at Camborne College Cornwall and gaining her Teaching Qualification, she is excited to announce she is an Educator.

Offering Guild Accredited Beauty Courses in Cornwall, Laura also offers 1-1 Mentoring for already qualified therapists.

Please note that the number of theory and practical hours required to complete these courses will vary depending on the speed at which you learn. The number of case studies require also depends on each individual student.

BEGINNERS GEL NAILS COURSE

This is an intense online and practical course. Case studies will be required to obtain your qualification.

The course includes online theory as well as a practical training session designed to give you the confidence and ability to offer a full gel nails treatment. You will be required to submit case studies after this course to obtain your qualification.

Your theory will be completed at home online prior to attending the Academy.

The GTi Gel Nails course cover show to complete gel overlays and extensions as well as the maintenance, repair and removal of the treatment in order to provide a full gel nails service. The manicure offers the therapist or technician a whole range of options to suit nearly every client. This course will teach you everything you need to know about offering a professional manicure, and includes a practical training session and assessment. This is a 3 hour practical course and can be completed alongside our Pedicure, Manicure or Gel Polish course in one day.

PEDICURE

Pedicures are a fantastic way to get new clients into the salon. It is a treatment that is often given as a treat, or is booked to make tired toes look respectable. Once a client has been made to look and feel better, they are much more inclined to repeat the process, and you will hopefully have gained a customer for life. The GTi Pedicure course teaches you how to complete a professional pedicure treatment and includes a practical training and assessment day. This is a 3 hour practical course and can be completed alongside our Manicure or Gel Polish course in one day.

E FILE TRAINING

The GTi e-filing course covers the many techniques that e-files can be used for. The course also offer a guide to the benefits of e-filing, the equipment needed and relevant safety and maintenance information.

BEGINNERS EYELASH EXTENSION COURSE

Eyelash Extensions have taken the beauty industry over and is now a must have treatment on your services menu. Our Eyelash Extension Educators have a vast amount of experience and many hours of practice and training behind them.

This is a one day mainly practical course, as you will complete your theory online. A model is required and must be patch tested which can be organised through the academy. You will be required to submit case studies after this course to obtain your qualification.

RUSSIAN VOLUME EYELASH EXTENSION COURSE

Please note you must have a Classic Eyelash Extension Qualification.

All courses are beautifully written and accompanied by images, video and a voice-over. You will have access to a PDF manual which you can refer back to. All modules and examinations are completed online with full online support available.

The practical module will also be assessed by one-day assessment at your chosen practical training centre. On completion of the course, successful students will receive a GTi certificate.

As the eyelash industry continues to expand, pioneers are developing new and advanced lash extension techniques. A method to create a fuller, more dramatic individual lash extension look is the Russian Volume technique. These lashes have substantially less weight than other types of false lashes, making them much safer to use. The treatment is carried out by fanning out two or more single lashes and placing them on to one natural lash to create the fullest-looking lashes possible.

This course will teach you everything you need to know about offering a professional Russian volume treatment and includes a practical training session and assessment.

This course follows the National Occupational Standards and covers the technique for Russian volume eyelash application, as well as the correct removal and maintenance of lashes. Waxing is an excellent addition to any treatment menu and provides repeat business as it is an essential maintenance option for many clients. The GTi Waxing or Intimate Waxing Course meets the Habia National Occupational Standards and covers the various types of hair removal, anatomy and physiology, skin disorders and diseases, contra-actions and contra-indications, reception, consultation, ventilation, technique, and aftercare.

DERMAPLANING FACIAL

Some of the most popular treatments in the beauty industry are facials and hair removal, Dermaplaning is quickly becoming the go to choice for exfoliating and creating smooth, fuzz free skin. This course will equip you with the skills and products to carry out the Dermaplane facial.

With a recommended treatment price of around £40 – £60 and an increasing popularity for this advanced facial treatment, this sought after treatment will be a superb addition to your beauty repertoire.

You must already hold a facial qualification or be trained to level 2 or above or hold a microblading or spmu qualification prior to training. We can add facial training at an additional cost if required.

Our Dermaplane facial training course is fully accredited with the ABT and is fully insurable, all students with receive an accredited certificate upon completion of the course enabling them to be insured and carry out the treatment on paying clients.

This course will teach you the essential skills that you need to know about offering a professional facial and includes a practical training session and assessment.
